1st Week (28 Friday - 5 Friday)
28 Friday 2019 was the first day of our teaching practice.. It was a great experience for me. The school which I was alloted is M.S.M.H.S.S Kayamkulam. There were 10 other trainees from my college, 3 from Social science, 2 from Natural science, 2 from English, 1 from Physical Science and 2 from my option.
We reached the school at 9am and meet teacher incharge. Our HM Beena teacher was leave on that day so all duties are assigned by sreelamma teacher. We handed over the register given by our principal to Sreelamma teacher. After having an informal talk with the teacher we signed the register. Actually it was an unforgettable moment in my life. School authorities provide seating arrangement for us in the school auditorium. We collected the timetable from the staffroom and decided to go to the respective classes as per our time table.
I got class 8A. There are 25 students in the class. I was little bit excited and nervous too as it was my first day in the school but it was so interesting too. I got substitution class in this class at 4th period, I went to the class introduce myself and had a close interaction with the students. They were little noicy in the class but I can handle them after a few minutes.. I got regular period in the same class in 6th period and I took first lesson template with learning aids. They listen carefully in the class.
In the second day I'm not physically fit so I couldn't take the class. On 3rd day of the teaching practice there was a strike so we came to the school and signed the register and planned some activity which we are going to conduct in school. On 4th day of teaching practice Surya teacher and and Chithra teacher came for observing my class, I took 2nd lesson template I can't take the class well because I'm not physically well. On 5th day of teaching practice again there was a strike and we planned an activity that we are conducting on next day. On 6th day of teaching practice we conducted an activity, it was the death anniversary of Vaikkom Muhammad Basheer. Two students from 7-10 classes of two divisions were participated in our program. So we first of all conducted a talk regarding his life and show two videos regarding him then conducted a quiz competition. At last 10A students win the competition.
